Published Weddings in 2012

Since returning to Charleston, SC, this past June, I’ve focused a lot of energy towards relaunching the wedding and portrait side of my business. One aspect of this business entails speciality blogs that focus on publishing wedding related content to share ideas with couples planning their special day. Starting in the fall, I began submitting work to select online publications and have been fortunate to receive lots of publication love.

Below is a recap of publications during November and December of 2012. I look forward to what 2013 has to bring and will have more work to share soon!

Their Dec 1st wedding has already been featured on The Wedding Row and Borrowed and Blue. This classic Downtown Charleston soiree included the Mills House Hotel, the Unitarian Church, and the American Theater along with a wedding trolley to transport the bridal party and guests to the ceremony and reception.

The location offered a great mix of a historical mansion, landscapes filled with oaks and a bridge, and a dock by the water. This bridal session has been featured on The Frosted Petticoat, The South Carolina Wedding Blog (A Wedding Atlas Site), and A Lowcountry Wedding.

Meg + Justin

Their engagement session was captured in historic Downtown Charleston. We started at the gazebo at Battery Park where Meg’s dad had proposed to her mom. From there we walked a few downtown street using the beautiful Charleston architecture as the backdrop for their photos. This e-session has been featured on A Lowcountry Wedding and The South Carolina Wedding Blog (A Wedding Atlas Site).

Toni’s and Doc’s intimate wedding on Folly Beach was shared with a few close friends and family. This couple had dated for a few years when they were teenagers and over 24-years later, they reconnected on Facebook and eventually rekindled their love for one another. Their beach wedding has been featured on A Lowcountry wedding, The South Carolina Wedding Blog (A Wedding Atlas Site), and Borrowed and Blue.

Anna is a dear friend. We were roommates for 2-years during college, and she’s one of my closest friends. Originally Tyler and she were planning for a larger wedding a year from now. And instead of being the photographer, she had wanted me to put my camera down to be a bridesmaid. But in the late spring, she called to say they were just ready to be married and were opting for a more intimate ceremony and celebration during the summer. She asked if I’d drive up to Maryland to photograph their special day. Of course I said yes (and was also elated I didn’t have to wear high heels anymore!). Their wedding has been featured by The Maryland Wedding Blog (A Wedding Atlas Site).

This e-session with Heidi and Stacy was captured on Folly Beach. The couple also wanted to include Stacy’s lovable dog, Jack, who makes a cameo in some of the photos. I was the videographer for their wedding in November and enjoyed creating a cinematic short documentary for the them and their loved ones. Their engagement portraits have been featured on A Lowcountry Wedding and The South Carolina Wedding Blog (A Wedding Atlas Site).
