An Early Christmas

Since I left Christmas Eve to drive to Maryland, my dad decided we would have Christmas dinner on the 23rd. Spero feels that no one should slave in the kitchen on a holiday like his mother used to and therefore, be unable to enjoy the day and everyone’s company. Because of this, we just order in Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners from Bilo’s deli. It’s not half bad, usually the dark turkey meat or hawaiian rolls are the highlight for me. Unfortunately, I don’t share grandma’s fondness for gin and tonics or else I’d just toast to the family being together and drink.
