Events that Unravel

Yesterday was World AIDS Day, and the College of Charleston held an event that did not quite go as planned. The event had been posted with a start time of 5 P.M., but it actually was to start at 6 P.M. The previous day’s rainy weather and frigid front resulted in a decision to cancel the candlelight vigil walk. Not a drop of rain fell from the sky. Basically, I had a photography dilemma with almost no people, cold weather, and the most visually captivating portion being nixed. Though simultaneously disappointed due to the circumstances yet relieved that this wasn’t an assignment shoot, I snapped a few photos and was glad when a friend texted to see if I was done and ready to grab dinner. So, what may have been a dull evening ended with catching up with a friend, fancy BBQ, and Starbucks.
