Trash the Dress

I had the delight of finally having a Trash the Dress shoot. This past Sunday, I headed to Tybee Island, GA to capture the day after wedding destruction. It was nice not to fret about tucking in a sheet beneath a bridal dress or worry about nature leaving its mark on lace or a train. In fact, it’s the exact opposite! How dirty can the dress get?

Deena and Scott were probably more excited than me. Like always, I find a No Trespassing Sign to be an invitation and on a few sites we climbed, trudged, and explored dilapidated homes or property under construction. There were also lighthearted moments with dancing on a cobblestone wall and borrowing a stranger’s bicycle for a few shots. But the highlight was the beach. What began with a super soaker fight ended in crashing waves.

I hope the future brings more brides willing to get a little dirty for photographs that will definitely be unique, creative, and fun.
